YAHSHUA, Guarantor of the Better Covenant

YAHSHUA MESSIYAH is Guarantor of the Better Covenant, that YAHWEH'S righteousness, acceptance, all-sufficient unmerited favor and strength, are forever ours.

YAHSHUA, the guarantor of a better Covenant. This becomes even more clear when another Kohen (Priest) arises according to the likeness of Malki-Tzedek (Melchizedek), who  has become a Kohen, not according to a legal requirement concerning bodily descent, but by  the power of an endless life. For it has been written: You are a Kohen forever according to the order of Malki-Tzedek. On the one hand  a former commandment is set aside because of its lack of power and has become unprofitable, on the other hand a better hope is introduced through which we draw near to YAHWEH. And it was not without an oath. Those who formerly became kohen took their office without an oath, yet this ONE was addressed  with an oath: YAHWEH has  sworn and YAHWEH'S mind will not change, You are a Kohen forever. This makes YAHSHUA the guarantor of a better Covenant. The former kohen were many  in number, because they were prevented by death from continuing in office, but YAHSHUA holds HIS Ke hunnah-(Priesthood) forever, because HE lives forever. Therefore HE is able for all time to deliver those who draw near to YAHWEH through HIM since HE always lives to make intercession on their behalf." Ivrim- (Hebrews) 7:15-25, Tehillim- (Psalms): 110.

Everything Depends Upon Our Understanding Rightly What YAHSHUA Guarantees Us

A guarantor is one who stands good for another, so that a certain engagement  will  be faithfully performed. YAHSHUA is the Guarantor of the New Covenant. HE stands as guarantor with us for YAHWEH, that YAHWEH'S part of the Covenant will faithfully be performed, and HE also stands as guarantor with YAHWEH for us, that our part will be faithfully performed also. If we are to live in Covenant with  YAHWEH, everything depends upon our understanding rightly what YAHSHUA guarantees us. The more we know and trust YAHSHUA, the more sure will be our belief and trust in every promise, and that every demand will be fulfilled, so that a life of faithful keeping of YAHWEH'S Covenant is indeed possible, because YAHSHUA is the Guarantor of the Covenant. YAHSHUA makes YAHWEH'S faithfulness and ours equally sure.

We read that it was because of YAHSHUA'S Ke hunnah- (Priesthood) being confirmed by the Oath of YAHWEH, that YAHSHUA became the Guarantor of a much better Covenant. The Oath of YAHWEH gives us security that YAHSHUA'S guaranty will secure all of the better promises. The meaning and infinite value of YAHWEH'S  oath has been explained in the previous chapter: "Men swear by that which is greater than than themselves and  in all their agreements an oath in the end confirms what  is said. Therefore when YAHWEH wants to show  more convincingly to the heirs of the promises the unchangeableness  of YAHWEH'S purposes, YAHWEH confirmed it with an oath, in order that through two unchangeable things  it is impossible for YAHWEH to lie and that  we  will have; those having fled for refuge, a strong encouragement to lay hold of the hope set before us." Ivrim 6:16-18. So we not only have a Covenant  with certain definite promises; and have YAHSHUA as the Guarantor of the Covenant; but also to back this up we have the living Mighty One, with the purpose of Our having perfect confidence in the unchangeableness of YAHWEH'S council and promise; coming to us with an oath! Do we not begin to see that  the one thing YAHWEH aims at in this Covenant, and asks of us in regard to it, is an absolute trust that YAHWEH is going to do all that YAHWEH has promised; however difficult or wonderful it appears? YAHWEH'S oath is the end  of all fear or doubt.

Meet YAHWEH With An Abraham-Like Belief And Trust

Let no one think of understanding the Covenant, of judging it or saying what can be expected from it, or much less of experiencing its promises, until they meet YAHWEH with an Abraham-like belief and trust, which  gives YAHWEH the honour and is fully assured that what YAHWEH has promised YAHWEH  is able to perform. The Covenant  is a sealed mystery except to the believer who is going to trust YAHWEH without reserve, and abandon themselves to YAHWEH'S Word and work.

Of YAHSHUA'S work as the Guarantor of the better Covenant, our passage tells us that, because of this Ke hunnah confirmed by oath, HE is able to deliver completely those who draw near to YAHWEH through HIM and for this reason: "HE lives forever to make intercession for them." As the Guarantor of the Covenant, YAHSHUA is always  engaged in watching  our needs, presenting them to the ABBA, receiving YAHWEH'S answer, and imparting to us all YAHWEH'S blessings. It is because of this never ceasing mediation, receiving, and transmitting from YAHWEH  to us the free gifts and power of the heavenly world, that YAHSHUA  is able to deliver completely--to work and maintain in us a deliverance as complete as YAHWEH wills it should be, as complete as the better Covenant has assured us it shall be, in the better promises upon which the Covenant was established. These promises are stated in Ivrim 8:7-13 and are none other than those of the New Covenant in YermeYah (Jeremiah) 31:31-34), with the  Law written on the heart by the Spirit of YAHWEH; as our experience of the power of that deliverance.

YAHSHUA the Guarantor of a better Covenant, YAHSHUA is to be our assurance that everything connected with the Covenant is unchangeably and eternally sure! In YAHSHUA, our relationship with YAHWEH exists. All of our prayers and desires, our life and walk is centered in YAHSHUA, and with full assurance in YAHSHUA, in belief, trust, and hope, we will look for every Word of the Covenant to be made fully true to us  by YAHWEH'S own power. Let us look at some of these things that we are to be fully assured of as children of the New Covenant.

YAHSHUA, YAHWEH'S  Son Is The Messenger

There is the love of YAHWEH. The  very thought of a Covenant is an alliance of friendship. It is a means of assuring us of YAHWEH'S  love, of drawing us close to that love; of getting our hearts under the power of YAHWEH'S love, and to be filled with it. It is because YAHWEH loves us with an infinite love and wants us to know it, and to give that love complete freedom to give itself to us and to bless  us, that the New Covenant has been  made and YAHWEH'S own  Son has been made its Guarantor. The love of YAHWEH is an infinite SetApart energy, doing its utmost to fill the believer with itself and its blessings. Of this love, YAHWEH'S  Son is the Messenger. Let us learn that the main need; in studying the Covenant and keeping it; in seeking and receiving its blessings, is the active use of a strong and confident assurance of YAHWEH'S love.

Then there is the assurance of the sufficiency of the MESSIYAH finished  work of redeeming us. All that was  needed to do away  Law breaking, to free us entirely and forever from its power, has  been accomplished by YAHSHUA. HIS blood and death, HIS resurrection and HIS going to the seat of authority in the heavens, have taken us out of the power of the world and transplanted  us into a new  life in the power of the heavenly world All this is SetApart reality; The MESSIYAH is Guarantor that YAHWEH'S righteousness, acceptance, all-sufficient unmerited favor and strength, are forever ours. YAHSHUA is the Guarantor that all these can and will be communicated to us in unbroken continuance.

It is even so with the  assurance of what is needed on our part to enter into  this life in the New covenant. We shrink back; from either the surrender of all, because we do not know if we have the power to let it all go; or from the belief and trust for all, because we fear our belief and trust will never be so strong or so bold as to receive and take as ours all that is offered us in this wonderful Covenant. YAHSHUA is Guarantor of a better Covenant. The better consists in this very thing that it undertakes to provide the children  of the Covenant with  the very disposition they need to accept and enjoy it. We have seen how the heart is the central object of the Covenant promises, a heart circumcised to love YAHWEH with all the heart, a heart into which YAHWEH'S Law and fear have been put, so that it will  not depart from YAHWEH. It is in all this that YAHSHUA is the Guarantor under the Oath of YAHWEH. Let us say it once more! Truly the one thing YAHWEH asks of us, and has given the Covenant and its Guarantor to secure the confident trust that ALL will be done in us, is what we dare not withhold. I think some of us are beginning to see what has been our great mistake we have thought and spoken great things of what  YAHSHUA did on the execution stake, and does on the seat of authority, as Covenant Guarantor, and then we have stopped there! But we have not expected YAHSHUA to do great things  in our hearts And yet it is there, in our hearts that the fulfillment takes place of the work  on the execution stake, and the seat of authority  (heavenly throne) .In the  heart the  New Covenant has its full triumph, the Guarantor is to be known, not by the mind which thinks of HIM only in the heavens, but by  what YAHSHUA does to make HIMSELF known in the heart! This is the place where YAHWEH'S love triumphs and is enthroned. Let us with our hearts believe and receive YAHSHUA as Guarantor of the New Covenant. Let us, with every longing in connection with it, with  every duty it calls  to us with  every promise it holds out, LOOK TO YAHSHUA.  Let us believe that by YAHWEH'S Spirit, the heart is YAHSHUA'S home and seat of authority! 

Let us, if we have not done it yet  in an act of belief and trust! and throw ourselves entirely on YAHSHUA for all of the New Covenant life and walk. No Guarantor was  ever so faithful  to their undertaking  as YAHSHUA is to HIS on our behalf, in our hearts! 

YAHWEH Has Made YAHSHUA Our Guarantor With The Very Object Of Inspiring Us With Courage And Confidence

And now, not withstanding the strong confidence and assurance of the Oath of YAHWEH and the Guarantee the Covenant gives, there are some still looking yearningly  at this happy  life and yet are  afraid to trust themselves to this wonderful  unmerited favor. They have a conception of belief and trust as something great and powerful, yet they know and feel that theirs is not so. And so their weakness  remains an incapable thing to overcome; a barrier to their inheriting the promise. Let me try and say once again: Brothers and Sisters the act of belief and trust, by which you accept and enter this life in the New Covenant, is not commonly an act of power  but often of weakness and fear and much trembling. And even in the midst of all this weakness, it is not an act in your strength, but in a secret and perhaps unfelt strength, which YAHSHUA gives you. YAHWEH  has made YAHSHUA our Guarantor with the very object of inspiring us with courage and confidence. YAHWEH longs and delights to bring you into the Covenant! Why not bow now before YAHWEH  and meekly say: YAHWEH does hear prayer; YAHWEH brings a person to believe and guides them into the Covenant; I may trust YAHWEH confidently. And just begin to believe that there is an Almighty Master, given by the ABBA, to do everything needed to make all the Covenant gifts wholly true in you. Bow low and look up out of your low estate to your honoured Master YAHSHUA and maintain your confidence that as a believer (who in your nothingness trusts in YAHSHUA) you will  receive more than you can ask or think.

Dear believer, come and be a true believer! Believe that YAHWEH is showing you how entirely the Master YAHSHUA wants to have you and your life for HIMSELF; how entirely YAHSHUA is willing to take charge of you and work in you how entirely you can even now commit your  trust, and your surrender and your faithfulness to the Covenant; with all you are and are to be; to YAHSHUA your awesome Guarantor.

If you believe and trust; you ,will l see the honour of YAHWEH. What the MESSIYAH YAHSHUA has undertaken; you can confidently count upon HIM performing!

In a sense, and measure, and power that passes all knowledge, YAHSHUA the MESSIYAH is HIMSELF all that YAHWEH can ask or give, all that YAHWEH wants to see in us! "The one that believes in ME, out of that one will flow  rivers of living water!" 

YAHSHUA the Guarantor of a better Covenant. YAHSHUA IS OUR MASTER! PRAISE YAHWEH!
