YAHWEH's Feasts: Shabuoth - Pentecost
YAHWEH's Torah (Law) was given from Sinai on
the fiftieth day after the deliverance from Egypt
Shabuoth: a Jewish holiday observed on the 6th and 7th of Sivan in commemoration of the revelation of the Ten Commandments at Mt. Sinai — called also Pentecost (Merriam-Webster Collegiate Dictionary)
Pentecost meaning
Pentecost meaning "the fiftieth day" or Harvest Feast or Feast of Weeks, may
be regarded as a supplement to the Passover. It lasted for but one day. From the
sixteenth of Nisan seven weeks were reckoned inclusively, and the next, or
fiftieth day was the day of Pentecost which fell on the sixth of Sivan (about
the end of May). Shemoth (Exodus) 23:16; 34:22; Vayiqra (Leviticus) 23:15-22;
Bemidbar (Numbers) 28.
The Pentecost was the Jewish harvest-home, and the people were especially
exhorted to
rejoice before YAHWEH with their families, their servants, the Levite
within their gates, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, in the place
chosen by YAHWEH for HIS NAME, as they brought a free-will offering of their
hand to YAHWEH their
ABBA (FATHER). Devarim (Deuteronomy) 16:10,11.
The great feature of the celebration was the presentation of the two loaves,
made from the first fruits of the wheat harvest. With the loaves two lambs were
offered as a peace offering, and all were waved before YAHWEH, and given to the
priests; the loaves being leavened, could not be offered on the altar. The other
sacrifices were, a burnt offering of a young bullock, two rams and seven lambs,
with a meat and a drink offering, and a kid for a sin offering. Vayiqra-
(Leviticus) 23:18,19. Until the Pentecostal loaves were offered, the produce of
the harvest could not be eaten, nor could any other first fruits be offered.
The whole ceremony was the completion of the dedication of the harvest to
YAHWEH as its giver, and to whom both the land and the people were holy,
which was begun by the offering of the wave-sheaf at the Passover. The interval
is still regarded as a religious season. The Pentecost is the only one of the
three great feasts which is not mentioned as the memorial of events in the
history of the Jews; but such a significance has been found in the fact that the
law was given from Sinai on the fiftieth day after the deliverance from Egypt.
Shemoth (Exodus) 12 and 19. In the exodus the people were offered to YAHWEH as
being first fruits; at Sinai their consecration to HIM as a nation was
completed.

YAHWEH's Blessings Upon HIS Memorial Day Pentecost
True to HIS Word, YAHWEH added HIS blessing on HIS Day as recorded in
Acts 2:1-4;
And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in
one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty
wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared
unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they
were all filled with the Qadash Ruwach (Holy Spirit), and began to speak with
other tongues, as the Ruwach (Spirit) gave them utterance.
YAHWEH's Word; Think Upon This
Prior to the children of Yisrael entering into the promised land, after the
giving of the command to keep the Day of Pentecost, there were 3,000 souls lost
in the wilderness.
Shemoth (Exodus) 32:28 And the children of Levi did according to the word of
Moshe: and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men.
Do you believe it was only a coincidence that YAHWEH not only poured out HIS Ruwach (Spirit) on the Day Of Pentecost, HE added such as should be saved in the same number? Ma'aseh Shlichim (Acts) 2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
