Thankfulness For Former Deliverances

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 129:1

  1     ^¶  A Song of degrees. Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Yisrael now say:

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 129:2

  2    Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 129:3

  3    The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 129:4

  4    YAHWEH is righteous: HE has cut asunder the cords of the wicked.

A Believing Prospect Of The Destruction Of The Enemies Of Zion

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 129:5

  5     ^¶  Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 129:6

  6    Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withers before it grows up:

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 129:7

  7    Wherewith the reaper fills not his hand; nor the  arms of he that binds the sheaves.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 129:8

  8    Neither do they which go by say, The blessing of YAHWEH be upon you: we bless you in the NAME of YAHWEH.
