TEHILLIM - PSALMS 94.

The Judge Sought

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 94:1

  1     ^¶  O YAHWEH ALMIGHTY, to whom vengeance belongs; O YAHWEH, to whom vengeance belongs, show YOURSELF.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 94:2

  2    Lift up YOURSELF, YOU judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 94:3

  3    YAHWEH, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 94:4

  4    How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 94:5

  5    They break in pieces YOUR people, O YAHWEH, and afflict YOUR heritage.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 94:6

  6    They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 94:7

  7    Yet they say, YAHH shall not see, neither shall YAHWEH of Yacob regard it.

The Unwise Rebuked

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 94:8

  8    Understand, you brutish among the people: and you fools, when will you be wise?

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 94:9

  9    HE that planted the ear, shall HE not hear? HE that formed the eye, shall HE not see?

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 94:10

  10    HE that chastises the heathen, shall not HE correct? HE that teaches adam-man knowledge, shall not HE know?

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 94:11

  11    YAHWEH knows the thoughts of adam-man, that they are vanity.

The Vindicated

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 94:12

  12     ^¶  Blessed is the valiant warrior whom YOU chasten, O YAHH, and teach him out of YOUR torah;

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 94:13

  13    That YOU may give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be dug for the wicked.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 94:14

  14    For YAHWEH will not cast off HIS people, neither will HE forsake HIS inheritance.

The Benefit Of Judgment Realized

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 94:15

  15    But judgment shall return to righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 94:16

  16    Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 94:17

  17    Unless YAHWEH had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 94:18

  18    When I said, My foot slips; YOUR mercy, O YAHWEH, held me up.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 94:19

  19    In the multitude of my thoughts within me YOUR comforts delight my soul.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 94:20

  20    Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with YOU, which frames mischief by a statute?

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 94:21

  21    They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 94:22

  22    But YAHWEH is my defense; and my Sovereign Ruler is the Rock of my refuge.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 94:23

  23    And HE shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yes, YAHWEH our ALMIGHTY shall cut them off.
