TEHILLIM - PSALMS 86

The Psalmist Pleads His Earnestness, And The Mercy Of YAHWEH, As Reasons Why His Prayer Should Be Heard

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 86:1

  1     ^¶  A Prayer of David. Bow down YOUR ear, O YAHWEH, answer me: for I am poor and needy.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 86:2

  2    Preserve my soul; for I am chaciyd: O YOU YAHWEH my ALMIGHTY, save YOUR servant that trusts in YOU.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 86:3

  3    Be merciful to me, O Sovereign YAHWEH: for I cry to YOU daily.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 86:4

  4    Rejoice the soul of YOUR servant: for to YOU, O Sovereign YAHWEH, do I lift up my soul.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 86:5

  5    For YOU, Sovereign YAHWEH, are good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy to all them that call upon YOU.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 86:6

  6    Give ear, O YAHWEH, to my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 86:7

  7    In the day of my trouble I will call upon YOU: for YOU will answer me.

He Renews His Requests For Help And Comfort

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 86:8

  8     ^¶  Among the gods there is none like to YOU, O Sovereign  YAHWEH; neither are there any works like to YOUR works.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 86:9

  9    All nations whom YOU have made shall come and worship before YOU, O Sovereign YAHWEH; and shall honor YOUR NAME.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 86:10

  10    For YOU are great, and do wondrous things: YOU are Sovereign Ruler alone.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 86:11

  11    Teach me YOUR way, O YAHWEH; I will walk in YOUR Truth: unite my heart to fear YOUR NAME.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 86:12

  12    I will praise YOU, O YAHWEH my Sovereign Ruler, with all my heart: and I will honor YOUR NAME forever.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 86:13

  13    For great is YOUR mercy toward me: and YOU have delivered my soul from the lowest hell.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 86:14

  14    O YAHWEH, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of tyrannical men have sought after my soul; and have not set YOU before them.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 86:15

  15    But YOU, O Sovereign YAHWEH, are a Mighty One full of compassion, and kind and benevolent, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and Truth.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 86:16

  16    O turn to me, and have mercy upon me; give YOUR strength to YOUR servant, and save the son of YOUR handmaid.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 86:17

  17    Show me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because YOU, YAHWEH, have holpen me, and comforted me.
