The Deplorable Condition Of The People Of YAHWEH

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 79:1

  1     ^¶  A Psalm of Asaph. O YAHWEH, the heathen are come into YOUR inheritance; YOUR kodesh Great Tabernacle have they defiled; they have laid Yerusalem on heaps.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 79:2

  2    The dead bodies of YOUR servants have they given to be meat to the fowls of the heaven, the flesh of YOUR chaciyd saints to the beasts of the earth.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 79:3

  3    Their blood have they shed like water round about Yerusalem; and there was none to bury them.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 79:4

  4    We are become a reproach to our neighbors, a scorn and derision to them that are round about us.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 79:5

  5    How long, YAHWEH? Will YOU be angry continually? Shall YOUR jealousy burn like fire?

A Petition For Relief

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 79:6

  6     ^¶  Pour out YOUR wrath upon the heathen that have not known YOU, and upon the kingdoms that have not called upon YOUR NAME.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 79:7

  7    For they have devoured Yacob, and laid waste his dwelling place.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 79:8

  8    O remember not against us former iniquities: let YOUR tender mercies speedily prevent us: for we are brought very low.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 79:9

  9    Help us, O YAHWEH of our yeshua, for the splendor of YOUR NAME: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for YOUR NAME's sake.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 79:10

  10    Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is YAHWEH their Sovereign Ruler? let HIM be known among the heathen in our sight by the vengeance of the blood of YOUR servants which is shed.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 79:11

  11    Let the sighing of the prisoner come before YOU; according to the greatness of YOUR power preserve YOU those that are appointed to die;

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 79:12

  12    And render to our neighbors sevenfold into their bosom their reproach, wherewith they have reproached YOU, O Sovereign YAHWEH.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 79:13

  13    So we YOUR people and sheep of YOUR pasture will give YOU thanks forever: we will show forth YOUR praise to all generations.
