The Psalmist Speaks Of YAHWEH's Power

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 76:1

  1     ^¶  To the chief Musician on Neginoth, A Psalm or Song of Asaph. In Yahudah is YAHWEH known: HIS NAME is great in Yisrael.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 76:2

  2    In Salem also is HIS tabernacle, and HIS dwelling place in Zion.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 76:3

  3    There brake HE the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 76:4

  4    YOU are more enlightened and excellent than the mountains of prey.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 76:5

  5    The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: and none of the men of might have found their hands.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 76:6

  6    At YOUR rebuke, O YAHWEH ALMIGHTY of Yacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.

All Have To Fear And To Trust In YAHWEH

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 76:7

  7     ^¶  YOU, even YOU, are to be feared: and who may stand in YOUR sight when once YOU are angry?

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 76:8

  8    YOU did cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 76:9

  9    When YAHWEH arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 76:10

  10    Surely the wrath of man shall praise YOU: the remainder of wrath shall YOU restrain.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 76:11

  11    Vow, and shalom pay to YAHWEH your ALMIGHTY: let all that be round about HIM bring presents to HIM that ought to be feared.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 76:12

  12    HE shall cut off the ruach of princes: HE is terrible to the kings of the earth.
