TEHILLIM - PSALMS 51

The Psalmist Prays For Restoration, Humbly Confessing And Lamenting His Sins

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 51:1

  1     ^¶  To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came to him, after he had gone into Bathsheba. Have mercy upon me, O YAHWEH, according to YOUR lovingkindness: according to the multitude of YOUR tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 51:2

  2    Wash me throughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 51:3

  3    For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 51:4

  4    Against YOU, YOU only, have I sinned, and done this evil in YOUR sight: that YOU might be justified when YOU speak, and be clear when YOU judge.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 51:5

  5    Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 51:6

  6    Behold, YOU desire Truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part YOU shall make me to know wisdom.

He Pleads For Pardon, That He May Promote The Splendor Of YAHWEH And The Conversion Of Sinners

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 51:7

  7     ^¶  Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 51:8

  8    Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which YOU have broken may rejoice.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 51:9

  9    Hide YOUR face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 51:10

  10    Create in me a clean heart, O YAHWEH; and renew a right Ruach within me.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 51:11

  11    Cast me not away from YOUR presence; and take not YOUR Ruach Hakodesh from me.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 51:12

  12    Restore to me the joy of YOUR yeshua; and uphold me with YOUR free Ruach.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 51:13

  13    Then will I teach transgressors YOUR ways; and sinners shall be converted to YOU.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 51:14

  14     ^¶  Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O YAHWEH, YOU Sovereign Ruler of my yeshua: and my tongue shall sing aloud of YOUR righteousness.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 51:15

  15    O Sovereign YAHWEH, open YOU my lips; and my mouth shall show forth YOUR praise.

YAHWEH Is Pleased With A Contrite Heart, A Prayer For The Prosperity Of Zion

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 51:16

  16    For YOU desire not sacrifice; else would I give it: YOU delight not in burnt offering.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 51:17

  17    The sacrifices of YAHWEH are a broken ruach: a broken and a contrite heart, O YAHWEH, YOU will not despise.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 51:18

  18    Do kindly in YOUR good pleasure to Zion: build YOU the walls of Yerusalem.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 51:19

  19    Then shall YOU be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon YOUR altar.
