TEHILLIM - PSALMS 7.

The Psalmist Prays To YAHWEH To Plead His Cause, And Judge For Him

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 7:1

  1     ^¶  Shiggaion of David, which he sang to YAHWEH, concerning the words of Cush the Benjamite. O YAHWEH my ALMIGHTY, in you do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 7:2

  2    Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 7:3

  3    O YAHWEH my ALMIGHTY, if I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands;

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 7:4

  4    If I have rewarded evil to him that was at shalom with me; (yes, I have delivered him that without cause is my enemy:)

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 7:5

  5    Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; yes, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay my splendor and honor in the dust. Selah.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 7:6

  6    Arise, O YAHWEH, in YOUR anger, lift up YOURSELF because of the rage of my enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that YOU have commanded.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 7:7

  7    So shall the congregation of the people compass YOU about: for their sakes therefore return YOU on high.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 7:8

  8    YAHWEH shall judge the people: judge me, O YAHWEH, according to my righteousness, and according to my integrity that is in me.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 7:9

  9    Oh let the evilness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous YAHWEH tries the hearts and reins.

He Expresses Confidence In YAHWEH, And Will Give Him The Honor Of His Deliverance

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 7:10

  10     ^¶  My defense is of YAHWEH, which saves the upright in heart.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 7:11

  11    YAHWEH judges the righteous, and YAHWEH is angry with the wicked every day.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 7:12

  12    If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he has bent his bow, and made it ready.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 7:13

  13    He has also prepared for him the instruments of death; he ordains his arrows against the persecutors.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 7:14

  14    Behold, he travails with iniquity, and has conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 7:15

  15    He made a pit, and dug it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 7:16

  16    His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.

TEHILLIM - PSALMS 7:17

  17    I will praise YAHWEH according to HIS righteousness: and will sing praise to the NAME of YAHWEH most high.
