27 DEBARIM - DEUTERONOMY 27

The Torah To Be Written On Stones In The Promised Land

DEBARIM - DEUTERONOMY 27:1

  1     ?  And Mosheh with the elders of Yisrael commanded the people, saying, Keep all the commandments which I command you this day.

DEBARIM - DEUTERONOMY 27:2

  2    And it shall be on the day when you shall pass over Yardan unto the land which YAHWEH your ABBA gives you, that you shall set you up great stones, and plaister them with plaister:

DEBARIM - DEUTERONOMY 27:3

  3    And you shall write upon them all the words of this torah, when you are passed over, that you may go in unto the land which YAHWEH your ABBA gives you, a land that flows with milk and honey; as YAHWEH the Sovereign Ruler of your fathers has promised you.

DEBARIM - DEUTERONOMY 27:4

  4    Therefore it shall be when you be gone over Yardan, that you shall set up these stones, which I command you this day, in mount Ebal, and you shall plaister them with plaister.

DEBARIM - DEUTERONOMY 27:5

  5    And there shall you build an altar unto YAHWEH your ABBA, an altar of stones: you shall not lift up any iron tool upon them.

DEBARIM - DEUTERONOMY 27:6

  6    You shall build the altar of YAHWEH your ABBA of whole stones: and you shall offer burnt offerings thereon unto YAHWEH your ABBA:

DEBARIM - DEUTERONOMY 27:7

  7    And you shall offer shalom offerings, and shall eat there, and rejoice before YAHWEH your ABBA.

DEBARIM - DEUTERONOMY 27:8

  8    And you shall write upon the stones all the words of this torah very plainly.

DEBARIM - DEUTERONOMY 27:9

  9    And Mosheh and the kohenim the Levites spoke unto all Yisrael, saying, Take heed, and hearken, O Yisrael; this day you are become the people of YAHWEH your ABBA.

DEBARIM - DEUTERONOMY 27:10

  10    You shall therefore obey the voice of YAHWEH your ABBA, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command you this day.

The Curses To Be Pronounced On Mount Ebal

DEBARIM - DEUTERONOMY 27:11

  11     ?  And Mosheh charged the people the same day, saying,

DEBARIM - DEUTERONOMY 27:12

  12    These shall stand upon mount Gerizim to bless the people, when you are come over Yardan; Simeon, and Levi, and Yahudah, and Issachar, and Yoseph, and Benjamin:

DEBARIM - DEUTERONOMY 27:13

  13    And these shall stand upon mount Ebal to curse; Reuben, Gad, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.

DEBARIM - DEUTERONOMY 27:14

  14    And the Levites shall speak, and say unto all the men of Yisrael with a loud voice,

DEBARIM - DEUTERONOMY 27:15

  15    Cursed be the man that makes any graven or molten image, an abomination unto YAHWEH, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and puts it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say, Amen.

DEBARIM - DEUTERONOMY 27:16

  16    Cursed be he that sets light by his father or his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.

DEBARIM - DEUTERONOMY 27:17

  17    Cursed be he that removes his neighbour's landmark. And all the people shall say, Amen.

DEBARIM - DEUTERONOMY 27:18

  18    Cursed be he that makes the blind to wander out of the way. And all the people shall say, Amen.

DEBARIM - DEUTERONOMY 27:19

  19    Cursed be he that perverts the judgment of the stranger, fatherless, and widow. And all the people shall say, Amen.

DEBARIM - DEUTERONOMY 27:20

  20    Cursed be he that lies with his father's wife; because he uncovers his father's skirt. And all the people shall say, Amen.

DEBARIM - DEUTERONOMY 27:21

  21    Cursed be he that lies with any manner of beast. And all the people shall say, Amen.

DEBARIM - DEUTERONOMY 27:22

  22    Cursed be he that lies with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.

DEBARIM - DEUTERONOMY 27:23

  23    Cursed be he that lies with his mother in law. And all the people shall say, Amen.

DEBARIM - DEUTERONOMY 27:24

  24    Cursed be he that smites his neighbour secretly. And all the people shall say, Amen.

DEBARIM - DEUTERONOMY 27:25

  25    Cursed be he that takes reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen.

DEBARIM - DEUTERONOMY 27:26

  26    Cursed be he that confirms not all the words of this torah to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.
