Friend of The World Is A Enemy Of YAHWEH

A Friend

intimate {ray'-ah} ( to make known especially publicly or formally) "personal friend" with whom one shares confidences and to whom one feels very close

YAACOB  1:1 Yaacob, a servant of YAHWEH and of the Master YAHSHUA ha Moshiach, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting-Shalom!

Here Are Cautions Against Corrupt Affections

And Love Of This World, Which Is Enmity To YAHWEH

YAACOB  4:1 From where do wars and fighting among you come? Do they not come from your lust that war in your members?
YAACOB  4:2 You lust, and have not: you kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: you strive and fight, you war, yet you have not (you have nothing), because you ask not.
YAACOB  4:3 You ask, and receive not, because you ask amiss-wickedly, that you may consume it upon your lusts {khaw-mad'}
YAACOB  4:4 You adulterers {naw-af'} and adulteresses {naw-af'}, know {yaw-dah'} you not that the friendship {raw-aw'} of the world is enmity {ay-baw' hatred} with YAHWEH? whosoever therefore will be a friend  {ray'-ah} of the world is the enemy {o-yabe'} of YAHWEH
{naw-af'} apostatize:  renunciation of the faith, abandonment of a previous loyalty

{o-yabe'} enemy: one seeking to injure, overthrow, or confound an opponent, something harmful or deadly,  adversary

What is Enmity {ay-baw' hatred}

ROMIYAH  8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is chayim and shalom
ROMIYAH  8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity {ay-baw' hatred} against YAHWEH: for it is not
subject (under authority) to The Torah of YAHWEH, neither indeed can be.

All Are Cautioned Against The Love Of This World, And Against Errors

1 YOCHANAN  2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the ABBA is not in him.
1 YOCHANAN  2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust {khaw-mad'} of the eyes, and the pride{gaw-ohn'} of life, is not of the ABBA, but is of the world.
1 YOCHANAN  2:17 And the world passes away, and the lust {khaw-mad'} thereof: but he that does the will of YAHWEH abides forever

An Enemy Defined

SIRACH 12:10 Never trust {baw-takh'} your enemy {o-yabe'} , for like the rusting of copper, so is his wickedness {zim-maw'}  evil plan, idolatry, harlotry
SIRACH 12:11 Even if he humbles {shaw-khakh'} himself and goes about cringing, watch yourself, and be on your guard against him; and you will be to him like one who has polished a mirror, and you will know that it was not hopelessly tarnished.
SIRACH 12:12 Do not put him next to you, lest he overthrow you and take your place; do not have him sit at your right, lest he try to take your seat of honor, and at last you will realize the truth of my words, and be stung by what I have said.
SIRACH 12:13 Who will pity a snake charmer bitten by a serpent, or any who go near wild beasts?
SIRACH 12:14 So no one will pity a man who associates with a sinner {khaw-taw'} and becomes involved in his sins.
SIRACH 12:15 He will stay with you for a time, but if you falter, he will not stand by you.
SIRACH 12:16 An enemy {o-yabe'} will speak sweetly {maw-thawk'} with his lips, but in his mind he will plan to throw you into a pit; an enemy {o-yabe'} will weep with his eyes, but if he finds an opportunity his thirst for blood will be insatiable (incapable of being satisfied)
SIRACH 12:17 If calamity {ade} befalls you, you will find him there ahead of you; and while pretending to help you, he will trip you by the heel;
{ade} distress, burden, disaster
SIRACH 12:18 he will shake his head, and clap his hands, and whisper much, and change his expression.

Confidence In The Future

TEHILLIM  21:8 YOUR hand reaches all YOUR enemies {o-yabe'}: YOUR Right hand shall find out those that hate {saw-nay'} YOU
TEHILLIM  21:9 YOU shall make them as a fiery oven in the time of YOUR anger: YAHWEH shall swallow them up in HIS wrath, and the fire shall devour {aw-kal'} them.
TEHILLIM  21:10 Their fruit shall you destroy {aw-bad'} from the earth, and their seed {zeh'-rah} from among the children of adam
{aw-bad'} perish, vanish, go astray
TEHILLIM  21:11 For they intended evil against YOU: they imagined a mischievous plan, which they are not able {yaw-kole'} to perform
{yaw-kole'} to prevail, overcome, endure, have power, to have ability, have strength
TEHILLIM  21:12 Therefore shall YOU make them turn their back, when YOU shall make ready YOUR arrows upon YOUR strings against the face of them

Closing Doxology

TEHILLIM  21:13 Be you exalted {room}, YAHWEH, in YOUR own strength {oze}: so will we sing {sheer} and praise {zaw-mar'} YOUR power.

TEHILLIM  25:19 Consider my enemies {o-yabe'}; for they are many; and they hate {saw-nay'} me with cruel {khaw-mawce' HAMAS- violence, wrong, cruelty, injustice} hatred

TEHILLIM  37:20 But the wicked {raw-shaw'} shall perish {aw-bad'}, and the enemies {o-yabe'} of YAHWEH shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they be consume away

The Enemies Of The Truth And The Assembly Described, Their Destruction

TEHILLIM  52:1 Why boast in yourself it is evil, O mighty man? the faithfulness {kheh'-sed} of YAHWEH endures continually.

* The destruction of the wicked is promised

TEHILLIM  52:2 Your tongue devises {khaw-shab'} mischief's; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.
{khaw-shab'} to think, plan, esteem, calculate, invent
TEHILLIM  52:3 You love evil more than {tobe}; and lying rather than to speak tzedakah. Selah.
TEHILLIM  52:4 You love all devouring {beh-lah} words, O you deceitful tongue.
TEHILLIM  52:5 YAHWEH shall likewise destroy {naw-thats'} you forever, HE shall take you away, and pluck you out of your dwelling place, and root {shaw-rash' deal with the roots} you out of the land of the living. Selah>
{naw-thats'} break down, cast down, throw down, beat down, destroy, overthrow, break out teeth

TEHILLIM  68:20  He that is our Almighty One is YAHWEH, The ABBA of yeshua {mo-shaw-aw'} ; and to Sovereign YAHWEH belong the issues from death {maw'-veth}
TEHILLIM  68:21 But YAHWEH shall wound {maw-khats'} the head of  HIS enemies {o-yabe'}, and the hairy scalp of such an one as goes on still in his trespasses {aw-shawm'}
{maw-khats'} o smite through, shatter, wound severely, to crush, smash or violently plunge

TEHILLIM  97:3 A fire '(esh) {aysh} goes before HIM, and burns {law-hat'} up HIS enemies {o-yabe'} round about

The Word Came To Do This

LUKAS  12:49 I am come to send{shaw-lakh'} fire{aysh} on the earth; and how I wish that it be already kindled?
* He was sent to purify and cleanse the earth
LUKAS  12:50 But I have a mikvah-baptism to be immersed-baptized with; and how am I greatly
afflicted{aw-naw'} until it be accomplished!
LUKAS  12:51 Do you think that I have come to give shalom to the earth? I tell you, No; but rather division:
LUKAS  12:52 For from now on there shall be five in one bayit divided{baw-dal'}, three against two, and two against three.
LUKAS  12:53 The ahvot shall be divided{baw-dal'} against the son, and the son against the ahvot; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the eema; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
* His claim to be YAHWEH’s Son will cause great division in the house. What house? The people of Yisrael will be greatly divided, as well as each family unit within Yisrael

SIRACH 6:17 Whoever fears YAHWEH directs his friendship aright, for as he is, so is his neighbor also.

The Justice And Power Of YAHWEH

NACHUM - NAHUM 1:2 The Almighty is jealous {kan-no'}, and YAHWEH revenges {naw-kam'}; YAHWEH revenges, and is furious; YAHWEH will take vengeance on HIS adversaries, and HE reserves (keep guard) wrath for HIS enemies {o-yabe'}

adversaries: one that contends with, opposes, or resists
