 The Wealth of YHWH'S Instruction

A wise man receives instruction and becomes wiser

Contents of Sermon Message:

The wealth of YHWH's correction has no value to a fool

We are a people that does not like any of our faults to be criticized. Yet, the Scripture says that a reproof benefits a wise man more than a hundred stripes to a fool. (Proverbs 17:10) A wise man or biyn understands the wealth of the correction of YHWH. Biyn is to have the ability to understand, discern, consider and comprehend. You cannot compel an arrogant fool in the ways of YAHWEH but a wise man understands the benefit of following YHWH'S instruction. The wealth of YHWH'S correction has no value to a fool. Because of our arrogance and sinful nature we become very offended at the correction of YHWH. A sound reproof will lead us into the righteous path but because of our carnal nature we cannot see the power of YHWH we cannot walk in this path. A wise man wants the instructions of YHWH and receives them gladly. You will see a wealth in this man's Ruwach. But a fool will have only poverty.

The love for instruction

The man that loves instruction loves knowledge. (Proverbs 12:1) When YHWH corrects and disciplines one it brings about a love of knowledge in that one. A fool will become very offensive and reject what YHWH commands. A fool hates rebuke and becomes brutish. When one hates the correction and instruction of YHWH he is not wise at all. There is no power of the fruit of YHWH. We need YHWH to show us our wicked ways that we might repent of them. We have been trained as children to reject instruction. In YHWH'S Kingdom HE will rule with a rod of iron.

Poverty and shame for the scorner

Those who reject the instruction of YHWH will have only poverty and shame. (Proverbs 13:18) One that refuse the discipline of YHWH will suffer poverty and shame but one who receives the reproof of YHWH will even be honored. When a fool rejects the instruction of YHWH you will only see poverty and lacking in that ones Ruwach. The discipline of YHWH brings about growth and maturity in one's life. He will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water. He shall bear an abundance of fruit. YHWH will lift this man up. A wise man gives attention to his own mind and thoughts.

Prosperity for those that receive instruction

YHWH commanded Joshua to be strong and courageous and that he not forget any of HIS commandments. (Joshua 1:7,8) YHWH promised Joshua that he would prosper wherever he went if he was faithful to keep these commandments. Prosper in this Scripture is expressed as sakal or to be circumspect, wise in understanding, to comprehend and to have success. This is a generation that is arrogant and fleshly driven. This generation cannot receive any instruction from YHWH. YHWH has put a written Torah in us and we should observe to do it.

Generation full of pride

This is a generation that is full of pride. It cannot be instructed. We have a great power in the witness of YAHSHUA in us to. But we regress back to the ways of our fathers. YHWH was is ready to pardon us through the blood of YAHSHUA. We should be very thankful to YHWH for HIS great kindness in that HE does not forsake us. (Nehemiah 9:16-20) The way of man is pure in his own sight but the way YHWH is a pure and straight way. The way of man seems right but it leads to the death in the relationship between man and YHWH. YHWH gave us HIS Ruwach to instruct and deal with our sins.

Who can contend with YHWH?

Do you think you could answer YHWH if HE asked you a question? YHWH asked Job if a man who contends with HIM could instruct HIM. (Job 40:1) We want to instruct YHWH. We find fault with HIM or yakach. We are full of poverty because we reject the instruction of YHWH and find fault in HIS instructions.

The teaching of the knowledge of YHWH

Hezekiah spoke pleasingly to the Levites because they taught the knowledge of YHWH. They had kept the Feasts of Tabernacles. (2 Chronicles 30:22) They had shown the people the errors in their hearts and to make free will offerings unto YHWH. We must also be taught the knowledge of YHWH that it may become a living application in our lives. An application is something that is applied to bring an end result. The wise should not be ashamed to instruct or yacar the foolish. (Sirach 42:8) Yacar is to chastise literally with blows.

Warning to receive instruction

YHWH warns us that we receive HIS instruction or HE would remove HIS Ruwach from us. (Jeremiah 6:8) When YHWH speaks to us we stiffen our necks and refuse HIS instruction. (Jeremiah 6:8) We turn aside to find things that are more applicable to our own carnal nature. Leaders in YHWH chasten and instruct us. (Sirach 44:4) We are more willing to receive instruction from the wicked than from the Man of YHWH. This brings about great poverty. He that devotes himself to study the Torah will seek out the wisdom of the ancient. He will strive to understand the parables of YHWH. He will also seek out the hidden meanings of proverbs. He will rise early to pray and seek YHWH. He will reveal instructions and disciplines in his teachings and will magnify the Torah of YHWH'S covenant. (Sirach 39:1-8) We are instructed to receive those who come to us to teach the instructions of YHWH. A wise man will receive YHWH'S instructions and it will bring forth much fruit in his life.
